Document View

A detailed overview of the features within the Document View.

Updated over a year ago

To access a single document or deal, you can utilize the search bar in the top right corner of the platform. Here, you are able to search for a borrower's name or deal name. By clicking on a document or deal in the drop-down menu in the search bar, this will bring up the Document View. In this view, you will notice three separate tabs in which the document information is broken down. At first glance, you will be taken to the Summary & Reference Data tab. Additionally, you will see the Analysis tab and the Related Content tab - all three of which are described in the following section.

Summary & Reference Data Tab

The Summary & Reference Data tab is where you will find the key details of the document including the overall document score, reference data, and all analyzed documents.

The Instrument Score Analysis section indicates how borrower or lender friendly a deal is based on particular criteria. The higher the score, the more lender friendly, The lower the score, the more borrower friendly. You will see three numbers in this section -

  1. Document Score

    • This is a weighted average of all key terms analyzed from the document.

  2. Company Submission Score

    • This score is the average of similar documents uploaded by your company within Street Diligence.

  3. Competitive Landscape Score

    • This number is the average of similar documents within the consortium database. Note: This will show up as "N/A" if your company has not opted into the consortium. For more information on the consortium, please visit this article or email support@streetdiligence.com.

Document Reference Data is where all of the important information related to the deal is housed. This is typically information that is not found within the uploaded document so it is vital that this is provided to Street Diligence by the end user upon document submission. For admins, there will be a pencil icon next to these fields to edit this information. Any updates made will change for every user under your company's account.

Under the Analyzed Documents section, this is where you will find all relevant documents tied to a deal that have been analyzed. If a deal has been amended multiple times, this is where you will find each uploaded amendment. By clicking on the green download button on the right hand side of the analyzed documents, the original file will start to download straight to your computer.

Analysis Tab

The Document Analysis tab is an overview of covenants, provisions, and key metrics

pulled from a document. This view lists roughly 150-250 key terms depending on which

document type is being viewed.

Key terms and concepts are bucketed into containers which are located in the left-hand column. All values analyzed from the document are located in the column to the right.

Blank values indicates that the term in question was searched for within the document and not found. Check the 'Hide Empty' box towards the top of the screen to get rid of the empty values.

When clicking on a value that has been pulled from the document, the Enhanced View on the right side will correspond to the related clause within the document. The Enhanced View is a digitized copy of the document(s) analyzed. Within this view, there are a few key features to mention -

  1. Hyperlinked definitions

    • Throughout the Enhanced View, there are a number of concepts that are highlighted and hyperlinked. When clicking on these hyperlinks, a definition panel will pop down below which will take you to how the term is defined within the document.

  2. Audit bar

    • The green vertical bar than runs along the left-hand side of the enhanced view is what we refer to as the "Audit Bar." Here, you have the options to audit to the original PDF or copy the location of the term within the Enhanced View.

To review a single term in depth, click on the icon next to the term value. This will take you to the Drill In Analysis page. The Drill-In Analysis will help review the strength of a term is based on a particular data set. Here, you will see the normalized value, favorability, prevalence and the score of the key term.

Amendment Tracking

If you see a red "A" icon anywhere throughout the document analysis, this represents that the term has been affected by an amendment. If the value with a red A is clicked, the same red A will appear again in the Enhanced View. With a redline, you are able to see the what changed between the language in the amendment(s). By clicking on the red A within this view, it will display the original language between each amendment.
